Here at Red Man Laughing we've been very lucky - we've talked to some of the sharpest, forward thinking & inquisitive Indigenous Peoples working in the movement today. Every guest we manage to convince to do this show (we've had a few so, "No," right Sherman Alexie?) are generous with their time and patient with our interviewing/show style.
Both Tanya Tagaq & Romeo Saganash are survivors of the IRS school system and in these interviews talk about how they were/weren't able to move forward & they both share how their experiences at the schools shape their realities today.
Christi Belcourt is the creator of the Walking With Our Sisters commemorative art instalation and is on the front lines of working with communities and families around the issue of missing and murdered Indigenous Women, children & Two Spirited people.
